This day turned out to be a problem. The reason for this was that we had to check out at 10am. Our train was not till later that night at 20:57.
This means we needed to drag our baggage around all day. So we asked the man who checked us out what could we do with our bags. Suggesting if they could be looked after while we are out exploring for the final day.
He said it would be fine to leave our baggage with him but we had to go to a different location. So we walked with her him. Apprehensive about where we were going as we didn’t know him that well.
We got to a small area he lead us to this small room and said to leave our stuff in there. I asked if the place was locked he said no its fine this is my room.
We left our things there unwillingly and left the area to get some food. We both agreed we were not feeling great about leaving our things with a guy we didn’t know.
We got some food and visited the top of the bell tower. Was very happy with this lucky shot.
After a short walk we got in the elevator and rose to the top met by a great view over Venice.
After walking around the whole of Venice we then arrived back to collect our luggage. A new guy was there and let us stay in the place for an hour to make tea.
We picked up all our luggage and set off to the station to get on the night train. We saw some nice shops on the way.
My advice would be not to book a night train in Italy as it is treated as first class. This night train cost us far too much and we have learned from it. This was our place for 9 hours.
I was top bunk and would first describe it as a death trap. I didn’t know the harness wraps around your body really tight so it feels like your in a straight jacket. Somehow I managed to sleep most of the night but the stopping at stations and the motion of the train mad me feel sick at one point.
