Well.. it has been quite a day of walking around Florence. What a great city! I took about 100 photos so wont upload them all on here.
We planned an itenerary to visit some museums, climb to the top of the tower and just see what florence is all about really. We left our hotel and walked to where all the museums were located.
Our first stop was Palazzo Pitti. Was 3.50 each person under 25.
This museum was based around amassed paintings, plates, jewelry and luxurious possessions. Here is what I thought was the best it had to offer:
Some of the clothing pictures were not meant to be taken as they were very strict, but i sneaked a couple without them seeing.
We walked outside to the boboli gardens and straight to the top to get some stunning pictures.
On the way out there were some interesting sculptures. Ideal place for my mother that is for sure!
We grabbed a snack at a very nice place along the way with a fine assortment of savoury and sweet foods.
We both had a pasta dish and some dessert.
Got some nice snaps on the bridge.
We arrived at the main square with a lot of tourists. Such an amazing place to experience! I was so impressed.
My uncle recommended to try the ice cream so we did and we were not disapointed!
We arrived at another museum. We paid to see the exhbition, museum and climb the tower
Here is some of the amazing art on display.
We then climbed the tower. Very narrow stairs to the top.
Half way up I decided to become an archer for a few minutes,
There were multiple holes in the ground that were used to drop acid on enemies who were trying to enter.
Eventually at the top was one of the nicest views I have ever seen. Stunning!
When we left the museum we had a look around all the shops. We bought some red wine that costs around £100 to export as a group of 6. We bought one bottle.I then decided to buy two picture prints of Florence for 30 euros knocked him off 10 but he tryed to have me over by giving 10 change from a 50. I pressed him to give me the other 10 and he eventually did, but I will not make the same mistake to buy from the people on the road. They do look very good though. Walking to the duomo and viewing it for the first time was excellent, couldnt believe what I was seeing, such an excellent looking building.
We finished off by sitting in the park with the lake in the middle and ducks swimming around.
We had a meal in a populated square.
We then got talking to some girls for the rest of the night 😉
