So today was our last day in Nice and was a great experience. We got up early although we were majorly hungover from bottles of red wine from the night before. So we rushed out, packed our things in a hurry and left.
We made the mistake of getting the bus from Nice to Monaco extremely busy so we stood most of the way. This trip was covered because of our tram ticket. We got off as we thought we were not too far from Monaco. Turns out we were and actually still on the outskirts of nice.
We realised this when the bus left us.
We got the next one and showed our tram ticket and the bus driver was yelling at us in french and we had to buy new tickets. Got some shots on the way.
We arrived in Monaco and tried looking for the hotel for about an hour. We found it in the end but we had to wait till 1 to check in. I had a gut feeling we were missing something. Turns out I left all the train tickets at the Nice hostel. I had to get the train back there on my own to pick them up. Took around 2 and a half hours so wasn’t too bad.
I then got back and we had a look around monte Carlo.
We got some lunch at a fancy restaurant.
We got back to the amazing flat.
We got in our smart gear for a meal at the excellent rated cosmopolitan restaurant.
Amazing food highly recommended!
Began with vegetable spring rolls. Amazing! Better than my local Chinese that’s for sure.
I ordered beef pie with the mash and veg.
Joe had king prawns thai curry. Real king size prawns. Size of our hands.
We had some house wine to finish it before we headed to the monte Carlo casino.
No cameras or phones allowed but I can assure you it is a superbly crafted building inside. Napoleon the third decor all around.
Joe won 4 times the money he bet in roulette so happy days!
We are getting up early to see more of this fine place before we head to Milan in the afternoon.
